Insel Mljet Mljet, the most distant island of the south Dalmatian archipelago, is situated near to the romantic city of Dubrovnik. Mljet is the greenest of the Adriatic islands.
The north-eastern part of the island which is under supervision of the touristic community of Govedjari, was declared to a National park, territory in 1960 with a surface of 31 km2.

Soline The little vilage of Soline founded in 1825 by the family Petra Srena.
The name points out that in the bay of Soline Benedictine monks mined salt in the past. The bay is situated at the canal which connects the Adriatic Sea with the Large Lake on the Mljet north island.
Soline is surrounded by ancient pine forests which are spread out all over the island. In connection with the establishment of the Mljet National Park the wonderful pine forests were put under nature protection and were spared from logging.
